2012 Pittsburgh Rugby Collegiate Classic

We are pleased to announce that the Pittsburgh Rugby Collegiate Classic will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Cooper’s Lake Campground in Slippery Rock, PA. The Pittsburgh Rugby Collegiate Classic routinely features several of the top men’s and women’s collegiate teams from the Midwest and the Mid-Atlantic regions. There will be concessions and raffle prizes the day of the tournament and Rugby Imports will be on site selling tournament t-shirts and taking care of all your last minute rugby needs.

The entry fee is $375. Teams registering prior to February 18, 2012 will receive the discounted entry fee of $325. Additional sides are welcome at a cost of $200 per each additional side. There is no discount for B Sides that register early. Registration is not complete until we receive payment in full; you will receive confirmation of your registration upon receipt of payment.

We understand that many universities and colleges can be slow to issue checks. Consequently, teams that submit a (non-refundable) deposit of $50 will secure their spot in the tournament. Teams submitting their deposit prior to February 18, will also lock-in the discounted rate ($325). This is a great way to ensure that you will not be locked out of the tournament if your school is slow to issue a check. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable and will not be returned under any circumstances. Submit your check request now to ensure you are paid in full before the tournament!

Registration opens on January 1, 2012, at which time teams can register via Paypal or by sending a check to Pittsburgh Rugby Club, c/o Treasurer, 2120 Sidney Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203. Checks should be made payable to Pittsburgh Rugby Club. Please be sure to designate the following on your registration: (i) your school, (ii) whether you are a Collegiate Men’s or Women’s team and, if applicable, whether you are a B side, and (iii) your contact information (so that we can confirm your registration).
