BALANCE: The team established one primary goal: win nationals.  Discuss the challenges of balancing the demands of rugby (fitness, training, travel, games, recovery, etc.) with your professional career.

CHANGES: How has the game changed since you played?  How has the team changed?  Also, you and some other “Old Girls” have attended several matches this fall.  What are your thoughts on the team and its play?  Can the Angels bring back a National Championship?

CONTROL: A major focus for the season is addressing “things in our control” and being able to adapt and overcome to issues “outside of our control”.  What adjustments is the team making for the long travel and humid Houston climate?

DEPTH: In the Midwest Championship match, nine players that are normally substitutes or reserves started the match…and five of the remaining starters played out of their typical position.  How has that game impacted the team’s confidence?

HIT V TRY: What would you rather do:  have a BIG hit – or – score an AWESOME try?  Discuss the perfect scenario on how that would happen on the field.

INSIGHT: As a veteran player on the team, this is your second trip to nationals.  How is this championship going to be different than the one in 2006?  What are the biggest differences between the 2006 team and the 2009 team? What does this year’s opportunity mean to you?

MEMORIES: Discuss your fondest memory of being an Angel.

MIDWESTS: How does the team feel after winning the Midwest Championship?   What did the team learn from the tournament?
