Winning The Midwest Championships.

I was recently asked how the team felt after winning the Midwest Championship, and a lot of things come to mind. I believe the team feels excited, proud, challenged, and grateful. Grateful for the opportunities they have been able to take advantage of, and grateful for their teammates and coach. Grateful that each player is not merely a dreamer, but is also someone who sets a goal and works hard to accomplish that goal.

There are many things to take out of this past weekend, both good and bad. Luckily, both can help us succeed on our road to Nationals. More than anything we need to remember to trust in our teammates, because every player makes this team what it is. Every player can go out on that grass and make a difference. The Angels are successful because we don’t play as individuals, we play together. On the field our hearts beat as one heart – true camaraderie.

Success is a direct result of respect. Always respect our opponents, our teammates, and our coach. Respect the decisions that are made, and maintain a positive outlook. Give it everything you have, everything inside of you. With any luck, if you are looking hard enough for success… it just may find you.
